There's
plenty of towns and villages dotted all over the Lake District,
all are well within driving distance of each other, offering splendid
scenery and views of lakeland fells, mountains, lakes, rivers and
tarns. Many of which have excellent accommodation available wether
you are an avid walker/hiker or just here to see the beautiful scenerey,
for mountain bikers many of them offer safe storage for your bikes.

Staveley
Description: Staveley is situated close to the River Kent at
the beginning of the Kentmere valley, west of Kendal and east of Windermere. The village was once
a centre of bobbin making for the Cumbrian wool trade. These days Staveley is a big lively
village with a host of shops selling a wide selection of local products.
There are also a
few pubs which serve the finest local beers and cuisine. There are a variety of accommodations
available in the village, including a few top class hotels and some outstanding guest houses,
which offer Lakeland hospitality at its best.
Staveley is a popular destination with
tourists from all over the world and its excellent location makes it the perfect base for
exploring what the Lake District has to offer.
