plenty of towns and villages dotted all over the Lake District,
all are well within driving distance of each other, offering splendid
scenery and views of lakeland fells, mountains, lakes, rivers and
tarns. Many of which have excellent accommodation available wether
you are an avid walker/hiker or just here to see the beautiful scenerey,
for mountain bikers many of them offer safe storage for your bikes.

Rosthwaite
Description: Rosthwaite is situated along the Borrowdale
River in the Borrowdale Valley, right in the middle of the Lake District. This little hamlet is a
good base for walkers and climbers that want to explore the superb mountains that encircle
Rosthwaite, from Castle Crag down to Honister Pass.
Derwentwater, near Rosthwaite along
the B5289, is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Lake District and is popular with visitors
to the Rosthwaite.
