Newby Bridge
Description: Newby Bridge consists of a little group of
dwellings concentrated around the incredible Newby Bridge, spanning across the River Leven. The
bridge was made by skilled local craftsmen from local stone and is a superbly crafted crossing.
From Newby Bridge you can take in amazing views into the heart of the Lake District,
which is why it’s very popular with visitors to the Lake District. Nearby the village is the
Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, which provides visitors with the chance to travel deep into
Lakeland on proficiently maintained steam trains.
