Milnthorpe
Description: The old village of Milnthorpe is situated in
the south of the Lake District, north of Beetham and south of Kendal. The village’s top tourist
attractions are the old church and vibrant market square, which holds regular markets every week.
The Heron Corn Mill, close to the village, is the only paper making museum in northern
England, and the natural limestone staircase, the Fairy Steps, are other sights worth visiting.
The village offers visitors a range of facilities and services, and is a good place to
start off exploring what the Lake District has to offer.
