There's
plenty of towns and villages dotted all over the Lake District,
all are well within driving distance of each other, offering splendid
scenery and views of lakeland fells, mountains, lakes, rivers and
tarns. Many of which have excellent accommodation available wether
you are an avid walker/hiker or just here to see the beautiful scenerey,
for mountain bikers many of them offer safe storage for your bikes.

Lindale
Description: The small village of Lindale is situated above
Morecambe Bay on a hill, north of Grange-over-Sands off the A590. Lindale’s claim to fame is
being the former home of John Wilkinson, famous for building the world’s first iron
boat.
The village has easy access to the Lake District National Park, making it the
perfect starting point to discover the wonders of the National Park. Lindale provides visitors
with a number of facilities, including some outstanding guest houses.
