Hesket Newmarket
Description: This little village is found in the north
of the Lake District National Park, close to Caldbeck. Hesket Newmarket is a tiny village,
consisting of a Post Office cum general store, a lively pub, a market cross, a brewery and a
hall.
The Old Crown pub offers an excellent selection of specialty beers brewed at the
Hesket Newmarket Independent Brewery. This sleepy village is the perfect place to go and
experience Lakeland life away from the busy commercialized tourist towns.
The variety of
outstanding walks close to the village are popular with walkers who want to discover the natural
beauty of the Lake District National Park.
