all are well within driving distance of each other, offering splendid
scenery and views of lakeland fells, mountains, lakes, rivers and
tarns. Many of which have excellent accommodation available wether
you are an avid walker/hiker or just here to see the beautiful scenerey,
for mountain bikers many of them offer safe storage for your bikes.

Beetham
Description: This little village, on the Cumbria and Lancashire
border, is popular with tourists who want to go off the beaten track and try something a little
different. The village is located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty.
Attractions in Beetham include an exceptional example of an old English church,
Beetham Church; Heron Corn Mill, the only papermaking museum in northern England; and the Fairy
Steps at Arnside Knott, a magical natural limestone staircase.
