all are well within driving distance of each other, offering splendid
scenery and views of lakeland fells, mountains, lakes, rivers and
tarns. Many of which have excellent accommodation available wether
you are an avid walker/hiker or just here to see the beautiful scenerey,
for mountain bikers many of them offer safe storage for your bikes.

Alston
Description: Alston is situated on the Pennines in the eastern
side of Cumbria, easily accessed from the A686.
Near the village is Gilderdale Forest with
a variety of exceptional walking trails to explore. To the south of the village are a range of
remarkable fells from Melmerby Fell in the north to Little Fell at the southern end.
