Grasmoor

Lake District Mountain Grasmoor
Description:

Situated in the Northern area near Keswick, Grasmoor is almost 2,800 feet in height. Standing as the highest mountain in a range of peaks between the Lake District villages of Buttermere, Lorton and Braithwaite overlooking Crummock Water.

Grasmoor is known for its steep slopes on the western side wich fall steeply into Crummock Water, climbers be warned, the face of this steep slope may look enticing to climb but theres no real clean rock its mostly scree, the north western side of Grasmoor also has scree slopes. Climber will mainly climb up Grasmoor from Coledale Hause the easiest route, a more comprehensive climb could be started from Rannerdale using Lads How Ridge or from Buttermere on Whiteless Pike.
