Lake
District Mountains & Fells
The 3000s
or 3000 footers in the Lake District, which is also referred to
as Lakeland or The Lakes, are four mountains over 3000 feet in height.
However, some visitors count Scafell Pike and Scafell as one, this
is incorrect as they have separate summits and, in fact, Sca Fell
is around fifty feet lower than Scafell Pike.
The Lake District is
not only well known for it's lakes and mountains as well as it's
association with William Wordsworth and the Lake Poets, but it is
also a very popular holiday destination.
