Aira Force

Aira Force, 7 miles south of Penrith off the A592, is located on the western shore of Ullswater. The astounding 70 ft drop down the wooded ravine is one of the most popular sights in the Lake District. The walking trail that leads to Aira Beck and High Force waterfalls passes through some of the most beautiful scenery.

A tearoom, serving a selection of light meals and refreshments, is located near by. The information point provides information about Aira Force and the surrounding area. In peak holiday season, a National Trust Vehicle is on site and provides a range of information on the background of Aira Force and the area surrounding it.
