Find
accommodation in the Lakes for those special occasions
The
Lake District caters for all special occasions, from Valentines
Day to New Year, there's plenty of holiday accommodation to choose
from. Romantic weekends can cause plenty of traffic, sometimes the
traffic can back up right back to the M6, the main road between
Windermere and Bowness on Windermere can be at a standstill for
a while, travelling from South Lakes to the Northern areas can take
some time too so leave plenty of travel time so you get to enjoy
the visit.
Whether
you need accommodation for an Easter Break or a family get together
for New Year celebrations, Cumbria and the Lake District can provide
the perfect holiday accommodation.
Certain
times of the year are very busy in the Lakes District so always
try to book early to avoid panic closer to the time, Easter weekend
is probably the first big weekend of the year, you'll be glad you
did.
Valentine Weekend
Break in the Lakes
There
is nothing more romantic than going away for a weekend with the
love of your life. To celebrate Valentine's Day why not do something
unusual like book a weekend away in the Lake District. more
about Valentines Day.
Easter Weekend
in the Lakes
Traditionally
this is the busiest weekend in Cumbria. If you are planning to spend
the Easter break in the lake district, then it is advisable to book
well in advance. more
about Easter.
Bank Holidays
in the Lakes
Currently
there are eight permanent bank and public holidays in Wales, Scotland
and England with Northern Ireland having ten, these are probably
the busiest times in the Lake District so book early. more
about Bank Holidays.
Christmas and
New Year in the Lakes
This
is my favourite time of year in the Lake District, when you wake
up in the morning and the air is crisp, the sky is blue and the
fields are white. more
