This Victorian villa, built circa 1860 hosts many original features, including high ceilings, sash windows and fireplaces. We have two rooms to offer our guests - The Buttermere is a small double room with double bed and en-suite wet room. The Ennerdale is a large double room with king size bed and en-suite bathroom with clawfoot bath and hand shower.
The Corner House is located only 5 minutes stroll from the historic Georgian port town of Whitehaven. Much of the town dates back to the 1700's when shipping rum and mining were its main trades. The harbour side is now noted as being the start of the Coast to Coast cycle route and Coast to Coast walkers start their journey a short hop around the coast at St Bees.
Whitehaven is located in the Western Lakes area of the Lake District and is a short drive to the lakes of Ennerdale, Wastwater, Buttermeme, Lowes and
Crummock. You can enjoy the peace and tranquility of these unspoilt lakes
and fells or visit the beautiful towns of Whitehaven, Keswick or Cockermouth for some shopping.
