Orchard Cottage Guesthouse centrally situated in the Lake District village of Coniston, offering en-suite guest accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis. Orchard Cottage is ideally placed on both the Cumbria Way and Inn Way.
Orchard Cottage offers guest accommodation in 3 en-suite rooms (2 double bedded & 1 flexible double or twin bedded), all rooms are on the ground floor and offer tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryers. Breakfast is served in the light spacious dining room and the choices range from cereals and fruit to full English breakfast, followed by toast with homemade jam or marmalade and honey produced by our own bees. After a hard day walking relax in the comfortable guest lounge.
For people walking the Cumbria Way we offer a transport service if you book 2 nights with us. ie: Walk from Ulverston - Coniston Arrive at Orchard Cottage for 1st night Next day walk to Dungeon Ghyll where you are picked up and brought back to Orchard Cottage for a 2nd night The following morning you are returned to Dungeon Ghyll to resume your walk.
With ample private off road parking you may never need to move your car once you arrive at Orchard Cottage.
Within easy reach are the Lake District villages of Hawkshead, Ambleside, Grasmere and the Furness Peninsula Coniston Water offers plenty of opportunity for taking part in water sports or just enjoying the scenery.
