Come and enjoy a peaceful 'away from it all' holiday at our family run working hill farm. Our self-catering cottage is situated 3 miles from Cockermouth, and ten miles from Keswick.
Jenkin Farm is a 170 acre working hill farm with Swaledale and Herdwick sheep, and suckler cows with their calves.
Jenkin Farm cottage has a spectacular outlook over open countryside, with views extending to the Solway Firth and the Scottish lowlands.
We are in an ideal situation for fell walking on the Buttermere and surrounding fells, bird watching, and touring the Lakes by car. You can see all sorts of garden birds, wildlife, red squirrels, and visit the osprey viewpoint at Bassenthwaite Lake.
Six people can be accommodated in a two large bedrooms, each of which has a double and single bed. A cot is available if required. Pillows, duvets, electric blankets and all linen are included in the weekly rent. There is a large modern bathroom, with shower.
The sitting room has a Lakeland slate open coal or log fire, a colour TV and video. The fully equipped modern kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, automatic washing machine. Table linen and tea-towels are provided.
