Hardcragg Hall is a unique experience. This spacious 5 star self-catering group accommodation sleeps up to 14 in 7 bedrooms and has 6 bathrooms, and is perfect for groups and families seeking larger holiday houses for their Lake District holiday.

With several interconnecting reception rooms including a dining room, drawing room, breakfast room, snooker room and an impressive entrance hall, larger family groups will always have room to breathe. The classic farmhouse kitchen has every modern convenience including a 4 oven Aga, gas hob and double oven and there is a utility room fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, freezer and yet more space.

Hardcragg Hall is a Grade II listed manor house, which dates back to 1563. Beatrix Potter was a regular visitor to this historic home and she drew inspiration for the Tale of Pigling Bland during her visits, whilst gazing idly from the window across to a nearby piggery.

The property has many original features, oak panelled rooms, mullioned windows and log fires. It sits in  its own secluded and peaceful three quarter acre garden, yet is only a few minutes stroll from shops, cafes and restaurants in the bustling coastal resort of Grange-over-Sands, popularly known as the Lake District Riviera because of its exceptionally mild climate.

The area is rich in nature reserves and birdwatching opportunities as well as offering a varied and pleasing terrain for hikers, ramblers and cyclists to explore. The lanes are a little quieter here than in the heart of the Lake District, but Lake Windermere at a distance of only 7 miles is only a short drive away. This is also the ideal location for exploring the Western Lake District, with its rugged scenery and dramatic lake and fell views.
